Greg grew up in the Pacific Northwest and the San Francisco Bay Area.  He majored in economics at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma where he also rowed for the varsity crew team. Greg then attended the University of California, Hastings College of Law in San Francisco, where he earned his law degree in 1988. Shortly thereafter he returned to the Seattle area to begin the practice of law.

Over the past 25 years Greg's practice has focused on real estate and construction matters. Greg handles boundary line disputes, road access issues, easement problems, defects in title and curative actions, owner and contractor disputes, lender issues, construction lien foreclosures, eminent domain matters, and quiet title actions. Greg has vast experience working with appraisers, surveyors, and engineers as expert witnesses and consultants in various real estate matters and construction litigation. The focus is always on resolution short of full litigation; including negotiation, mediation and arbitration. However, Greg has gone the distance when necessary to bring cases to resolution through trials or arbitrations. Greg’s litigation practice includes real estate, title insurance claims for various title insurers and their insureds, business litigation and construction disputes. He also works with clients on property acquisition and purchase and sale negotiations, estate planning, and the formation of condominiums. Greg also drafts covenants and easements for a variety of clients. Greg has also handled administrative land-use issues including variances, plats issues, boundary adjustments and road access issues.

Greg has represented a wide variety of clients in his practice including individual real estate investors, small businesses, contractors, surveryors, as well as large companies like Chicago Title, Fidelity National Title, Old Republic Title, and Windermere Real Estate. Greg also regularly represents lenders in his real estate practice including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Chase and numerous other smaller lenders. The variety of clients represented allows Greg to be flexible and responsive to each of the individual client's needs and to be as efficient as possible in the dispute resolution process.

He regularly teaches seminars to real estate escrow closers, attorneys, and larger clients on real estate title and escrow issues. The focus of the seminars is to increase the attendees’ ability to have a proactive focus in spotting problems before they become contentious legal issues.
